Description
This is a glass display cabinet on four slim legs, built from tempered glass and iron in equal measure. It stands 110cm tall and takes up a floor area of 45cm by 40cm, a compact, upright size that suits a gap beside a sofa, an alcove or a stretch of wall too narrow for a sideboard. A single glass door with a curved handle opens onto two glass shelves above a solid base, and the glass sides let light in from three directions. The back is a solid metal panel in the same brass colour as the frame, so whatever you keep inside sits against a warm, softly mottled backdrop.
We see it as a home for the things you want to look at rather than tuck away: ceramics, vases, glass pieces, small sculptures, a few favourite books or a run of keepsakes. In a living room it gives a shelf of treasured pieces a proper frame. In a hallway or on a landing it fills a narrow space with something worth pausing for, and in a bedroom or study it holds jewellery boxes, collected stones or framed photographs neatly behind glass. The flat top is a useful surface too, with room for a trailing plant or a single sculptural piece.
The frame is iron, painted in a brass colour with a water based paint, so the look is brass while the structure is iron; the legs are iron in the same brass finish. Tempered glass is heat treated to make it stronger than ordinary glass. At 27.16KG the cabinet is a substantial piece, and the maker's assembly instructions come as a PDF download. Looking after it is simple: wipe it clean with a moist cloth. For styling, give each shelf room to breathe, with taller pieces towards the back and smaller ones in front, and let a plant on top soften the straight lines of the frame.

Frequently Asked
What is the cabinet made of?
It is half tempered glass and half iron. The iron frame and legs are painted in a brass colour with a water based paint, so it is not solid brass.
How big is the cabinet?
It is 45cm long, 40cm wide and 110cm tall. That compact, upright size suits an alcove, a hallway or a narrow stretch of wall.
How many shelves does it have?
There are two glass shelves above a solid base, giving you three levels behind the glass door. The flat top offers room for a plant or one more piece.
How do I clean it?
Wipe it clean with a moist cloth. That goes for the brass painted iron frame as well as the glass door, sides and shelves.
Is there an assembly guide?
Yes. The maker's assembly instructions come as a PDF download, so you can read them through before you start putting the cabinet together.
How heavy is the cabinet?
The cabinet weighs 27.16KG. It is a substantial piece, so it is worth settling on its spot before you fill the shelves.
