Description

The Rui LED floor lamp is a slim reading light in a gold finish: a straight pole rising from a round disc base to a single angled tubular shade, 142cm tall in all. The shade is 20cm long and houses an integrated LED, so there is no bulb to fit. It draws 2.7W and gives 350 lumens of warm white light at 3000K, with a CRI of 90 or more, so colours and print look true under it. The 45° beam is focused rather than broad, which makes it a lamp for lighting a page, a chair or a corner rather than a whole room.

We see it beside an armchair or at the end of a sofa in a living room, next to a reading chair in a bedroom, or at the side of a desk in a home office, where the narrow shade puts light just where you need it. Its slender profile takes up very little floor space, so it suits snug corners and smaller rooms as well as larger open-plan spaces. It is rated IP20, so it is for dry rooms indoors only. It works on a simple on-off switch and is not dimmable, so for softer evening light pair it with other lamps in the room.

The structure is iron and the base is aluminium, both in a warm gold finish, and the 2m black plastic cable leaves from the base, giving you reach to a nearby wall socket. It runs on a 220-240V mains supply and carries a 5 year guarantee.
