Description

The Rudi is a linear LED pendant light in matt black. It is a long, slim iron bar with a shorter centre section that sits over its two arms, and each end has a cap of natural wood. The light is integrated LED, so there is no bulb to fit or replace. It draws 32W and gives 5400 lumens through a wide 120° beam, a generous output for a long table. It comes in two colour temperatures, 3000K or 2700K. Choose 2700K for a softer, warmer glow, or 3000K for a slightly crisper warm white. With either one, a colour rendering index of 90 or more keeps food, wood and fabric looking true to colour.

Its long, level line is made for hanging over a dining table. The wide beam spreads light along the full length of the top rather than pooling in the centre. The clean lines and natural wood details sit happily in modern and Scandinavian interiors, and the matt black finish works against pale walls as well as darker schemes. It is rated IP20, so it is for dry rooms only. Dimming is by DALI, so it needs a DALI control system or a DALI dimmer. Like any mains fitting, it is for a qualified electrician to install.

The structure is iron, finished in matt black. There are caps of natural wood at the ends and on the raised centre section. It hangs on a 2m textile cable from a round ceiling canopy and is steadied by two fine wires. It runs on 220-240V and carries a 5 year guarantee. For styling, centre it over the length of the table and let the warm tones of the wood caps pick up a timber tabletop, wooden chairs or earthy ceramics. At 2700K the whole table takes on a soft evening glow.
