Description

Our Rubi is a cone wall light in matt black and gold, with an iron cone shade set at an angle so its open end tilts up and away from the wall. The outside is matt black and the inside is gold, so when the lamp is on, the lining glows a warm gold against the dark shell. A round opal glass diffuser sits inside the cone and softens the lamp, giving a gentle glow rather than a bare point of light. It takes one G9 lamp, and the recommended lamp is a G9 LED. The fitting stands 22cm tall and projects 20cm from the wall, with a cone shade 20cm across.

Because it reaches just 20cm into the room, it suits places where space is tight: a hallway, a landing, or either side of a bed in place of bedside lamps. In a living room, a pair set either side of a sofa, fireplace or mirror gives a soft, low glow for the evening. Its clean, modern lines sit happily in a contemporary home and look just as good against period plaster. It is rated IP20, so it is for dry rooms only. It runs on 220-240V mains, so it is for a qualified electrician to install.
