Our Royal wall light pairs an alabaster globe with a round brass disc behind it, in a matt polished brass finish. The globe is a 10cm sphere of alabaster, a natural stone, creamy white with fine amber veins running through it. It sits in front of a 15cm disc that frames it against the wall, with a brass base 8cm across and 2cm deep behind. The fitting takes one G9 lamp, and we recommend a G9 LED no more than 60mm long, the longest lamp it will take, and the light glows softly through the stone.

This is a wall light for indoors, and it is rated IP20, so it is for dry rooms only. It suits a hallway, a landing, a bedroom or a living room, where a soft glow on the wall makes a space feel settled in the evening. Its compact size works on a narrow stretch of corridor or on the wall beside a bed, and a pair either side of a doorway or a sideboard gives a room a calm symmetry. The modern lines sit well with timber, plaster or painted walls, and the brass disc sets a warm ring of metal behind the globe.
