Description

The Rose is a ring chandelier finished in copper, with six slim cylindrical shades hanging in a cluster below an open frame. Fine textile cables run down from a 10cm round canopy to two rings, one 40cm across and one 60cm across, and below them the six shades drop at slightly different heights, each holding one GU10 lamp. It comes in three sizes, named for the height of its shades: the 16cm size has six shades 16cm tall, the 25cm size has six shades 25cm tall and the 40cm size has six shades 40cm tall. All three share the same 10cm canopy and 2.5m of cable. Lamps are not included, so you choose six GU10 lamps to suit the light you want.

It is a chandelier for the centre of a room, where the open frame can be seen from every side: over a dining table, in a hallway with good ceiling height, above the seating in a living room or in a quiet home office or bedroom. The 16cm size suits a lower ceiling or a smaller table, the 25cm size sits comfortably over most dining tables, and the 40cm size gives longer copper tubes for a tall room or a double height space. It is rated IP20, so it is for dry rooms only. Its control is a simple on-off switch, and it runs on 220-240V mains.

The structure is smooth brass finished in copper, and the six shades hang on textile cable. It is a mains fitting for a qualified electrician to install, and it carries a 3 year guarantee. Because the frame is little more than fine lines and two rings, it keeps a room feeling open with six lamps hanging in it. Copper sits warmly against dark wood, deep green or plaster walls, and we like it low over a long table where the cluster of tubes sits just above eye level.
