Description

Our Roi single arm wall light pairs a slim gold arm with a ribbed opal white glass shade, a clean modern design with a gentle glow. A round gold backplate sits against the wall, a straight arm reaches out from it, and a short upright stem drops from the arm to a flat gold disc that caps the shade. The shade is a half dome of opal white glass with fine vertical ribs all the way round, 12cm across and 9.5cm tall. Opal glass spreads the light evenly, so you see a soft glow rather than a bright point, and the ribs draw it into fine lines. It takes one G9 lamp, and we recommend a G9 LED.

It suits a hallway or landing, where a pair either side of a door or a run along one wall gives a welcoming light without glare. In a bedroom it works well either side of the bed, and in a living room or dining room it adds a soft layer of light beside a fireplace, above a sideboard or across a feature wall. The gold and opal white glass sit happily in modern rooms, and the simple lines give it a quiet place in more classic schemes too. It is rated IP20, so it is for dry rooms only.

The base is brass in a gold finish and the shade is glass, two materials that suit each other in a modern room. It runs on 220-240V, the standard UK mains supply, and as a mains fitting it is for a qualified electrician to install. It carries a 3 year guarantee.
