Rita is a concrete pendant light that pairs a tall column of porous concrete with an iron head, finished in matt black with a matt polished brass disc. The concrete forms a slim cylinder, its surface marked with the small pores of the material, and beneath it a black iron cylinder holds the lamp, with a thin brass disc set between the two. The fitting is 41cm tall and hangs on a 1.5m textile cable from an 8cm canopy. It takes one GU10 lamp, a widely available cap with bulbs in warm and cool whites.

Rated IP20, it is for dry rooms only, and it suits places where a single pendant hung at a lowish height does the work. Hang one over a bedside table in place of a lamp, above a desk in a home office, or in a hallway or on a landing where a slim fitting keeps the space clear.
