Description

The Rio Single Arm Wall Light is a wall light that works like a pendant. A slim arm reaches out from a narrow wall plate, and from its tip a dark textile cable drops to a single dome shade, so the light hangs out in the room rather than sitting flat against the wall. The arm, wall plate and shade share a warm, earthy terracotta finish over an iron structure. The fitting stands 46cm tall, and the shade is 16cm across and 15cm tall. It has one GX53 lamp holder, so the lamp it takes is a GX53.

Because the shade hangs clear of the wall on its arm, the Rio suits places where you would like a pendant but have no ceiling point in the right spot. Beside a bed it leaves the bedside table free; over a reading chair or the end of a sofa it puts light where you sit; above a desk in a study it lights the work in front of you. It is rated IP20, so it is for dry rooms only, such as bedrooms, living rooms, studies, hallways and dining rooms. Its clean, modern lines sit happily in a contemporary home.
