Description

The Rio table lamp is a compact, modern desk and bedside light in a cheerful yellow. A slim iron stem rises from a round base and hooks over at the top. There, a small dome shade hangs from an articulated joint and points its light down onto the surface below. It stands 45cm tall on a base 19cm across, and the dome shade is 12cm across and 11cm tall, so it needs very little room on a desk, a bedside table or a console. It takes one GX53 lamp, a flat, low-profile cap that sits neatly up inside the shade.

We think it suits anywhere you want a focused pool of light close at hand: a home office desk for reading and paperwork, a bedside table for an evening chapter, or a hallway console where a little colour lifts a plain wall. Its clean lines and soft, rounded shade sit comfortably in modern and Scandinavian rooms, and the yellow brings warmth to a scheme of white, grey or pale wood. It is rated IP20, which means it is for dry rooms only, so keep it to living spaces, bedrooms and studies. The 2m cable gives you some freedom to place it away from the socket, and it runs on 220-240V mains with a simple on-off switch.
