Description

The Rimini is a cone pendant light in yellow: a conical shade with an iron structure, hung on a dark textile cable. Inside sits an integrated LED, so there is no bulb to fit. It draws 4.5W and gives 600 lumens, a useful amount of light for very little power. The beam angle is 45°, which gathers the light into a clear pool beneath the shade rather than spreading it across the ceiling. With a colour rendering index of 90 or more, food, fabrics and paintwork under it keep their true colours. It comes in two colour temperatures, 2700K for a warm, candlelike glow or 3000K for a slightly crisper warm white, and we offer both.

Its focused beam makes it a natural choice over a dining table, where several hung in a line mark out the place to eat. A single drop works well beside a bed, over a desk or above a console in a hallway. The clean cone and warm yellow suit modern and Scandinavian rooms, alongside pale wood, white walls and grey textiles. It is rated IP20, so it is for dry rooms only. Control is by DALI: it dims through a DALI control system or a DALI dimmer, so check that your lighting controls use DALI before you choose it.

The structure is iron, finished in yellow, and the textile cable runs to 1.5m, so the shade can hang well down into a room with a high ceiling. It runs on 220-240V mains, and as a mains fitting it is for a qualified electrician to install. It carries a 5 year guarantee. For styling, hang it low enough over a table that the light falls on the surface without the shade blocking a face opposite, and let the yellow pick up a cushion, a print or a vase elsewhere in the room so the colour feels intended.
