Description

The Rigoberta Super Curved wall light is a bold piece of modern design: a matt black iron tube bent into a high arch, with round opal glass discs at its two feet and at the top of the curve. Each disc is an 8cm shade that throws its light back onto the wall behind it rather than straight into the room, so you get a soft, indirect glow instead of glare. The whole fitting is 27.5cm tall and 24cm wide, and it comes 9cm out from the wall. It takes GX53 lamps.

We think it works best wherever you want the wall itself to glow: either side of a bed, along a hallway, beside a sofa in a living room or above a sideboard in a dining room. Because it projects only 9cm, it sits comfortably on landings and in narrower corridors where a deeper fitting would get in the way. It is rated IP20, so it is for dry rooms only, and it runs on 220 to 240V mains. It works from an ordinary on and off switch, so pair it with a brighter ceiling light where you need task light, and let it carry the mood in the evening. Its clean, graphic shape also suits modern cafés, shops and offices.
