Description

Our Rigoberta wall light is a linear design: a long straight iron bar set with round disc shades, finished in matt black and paired with opal glass. It is made for indirect light, so instead of a bare, direct beam you get a soft glow, with the opal glass diffusing it further. It measures 45cm in height and projects just 9cm from the wall, so it sits close and neat, and each disc shade is 8cm across. The lamp cap is GX53. It works on a simple on and off switch rather than a dimmer, so an ordinary wall switch is all it needs.

Its clean, modern lines suit hallways, landings, living rooms and bedrooms, anywhere you want a gentle wash of light along a wall rather than a bright overhead glare. Fit one beside a mirror in a dressing area, mount a pair either side of a bed in place of bedside lamps, or run one along a corridor wall to light the way at night without dazzling anyone. Because it sits only 9cm proud of the wall, it works well in narrow passages where a deeper fitting would catch a shoulder. It is rated IP20, so it is for dry rooms only, and it belongs indoors.
