The René Duo is a linear LED pendant: two long straight bars of light, hung one above the other between slim burgundy uprights from a round black ceiling canopy. It comes in two sizes, 120cm and 160cm. The 120cm size runs at 2x12W and gives 2x1000 lumens; the 160cm size runs at 2x16W and gives 2x1300 lumens. Both sizes hang from a 14cm canopy. The light is a warm white 3000K with a colour rendering index of 90 or more, so food, fabrics and skin tones look true, and a wide 120° beam spreads it evenly. The LED is integrated, so there is no bulb to fit.

We think it is at its best over a long dining table, a desk or a reception counter, where the two bars follow the length of the surface beneath. The 120cm size suits a shorter table or desk, and the 160cm size a longer one. Its clean, modern lines sit comfortably in a contemporary dining room, a home office, a studio or an open-plan living space. It is rated IP20, so it is for dry rooms only. It works on a simple on-off switch and is not dimmable, so there is no dimmer to match.

The fitting has an iron base, an aluminium structure and a textile cable, with a cable length of 2m.
