Rea is a modern dome pendant with a broad, shallow shade in matt white aluminium, hung from a textile cable. The dome is wide and low, its top rounding softly down into a short, straight side, and it throws its light down onto the table or floor beneath. It comes in two sizes, 38cm across and 50cm across. The 38cm size has a shade 10cm deep and a 12cm ceiling canopy. It takes one GX53 lamp and works on a plain on-off switch.

A wide, low dome like this suits a dining table, hanging over the centre to keep light where you eat. It works just as well in a living room, hallway, bedroom or study that wants a calm, modern ceiling light. The 50cm size has the presence for a larger table or a more generous room, while the 38cm size sits comfortably over a smaller table or a reading corner. Its plain lines and matt white finish suit Scandinavian and modern interiors, with pale timber, linen and simple furniture. It is rated IP20, so it is for dry rooms only. It runs on 220-240V mains, and as a mains fitting it is for a qualified electrician to install.
