Description

The Raisa is an arc floor lamp in matt white, with a long cantilevered arm that reaches out from a slim upright and carries a fabric drum shade at its tip. The structure is iron and the shade is fabric, and the lamp is finished in matt white, a clean, quiet colour that sits easily in a modern room. The drum shade is 45cm across and 20cm tall, with one E27 lamp holder inside, a common cap that gives you a wide choice of lamps. The shade hangs on a short drop from the end of the arm, so light falls over whatever sits beneath it.

An arc floor lamp earns its place where you want light over a spot without a ceiling point above it. Set the round base beside a sofa or an armchair and let the arm carry the shade out over a reading corner, a side table or the end of a desk. In a bedroom it gives a pool of light by a chair without crowding the bedside. It is rated IP20, so it is for dry rooms only, and it is an indoor lamp. Its cable is 2m long, so plan its route before you settle on a spot.

Its structure is iron, finished in matt white, with a fabric drum shade and a plastic cable. It works on a simple on-off switch rather than a dimmer, so it gives one steady level of light. It runs on 220 to 240V and carries a 3 year guarantee. For styling, we like it against a pale wall, where the slim white frame almost disappears and the long arc leads the eye out to the shade, or beside a darker sofa, where the matt white reads crisp and clean.
