Description

This stoneware candle holder stands 13cm tall and 8cm across and holds a single taper candle upright. Its form recalls a short length of branch: the body narrows gently through the middle, flares out to a wider foot and carries a raised knot on one side. Ridges run round it in rings, much like the grain of cut wood, and they catch the light so the grey surface looks lively rather than flat. It is made from 100% stoneware and weighs 0.22KG. It is a small, quiet object with a lot of character, the sort that rewards a closer look.
