Description

The Puli is a cushion cover woven from recycled hand-spun linen yarn, 60cm by 40cm. The front is worked in two bands: a plain weave across the top and a dense, finely ridged weave over the rest, with the ridges running the width of the cover. The yarn is slubby, thick in places and thin in others, so the surface is uneven and reads warm off-white rather than flat. This is the outer cover only.

At 60 by 40cm this is the rectangular Puli; the other is a 50cm square. A rectangle sits in front of square cushions at the back of a sofa, leaning forward with the square behind it. An inner is not included.

The yarn is recycled linen, hand spun and then woven. Linen is breathable and hard wearing, and because the yarn is spun by hand its thickness varies along its length, so the weave is never quite regular and no two covers come out the same. Puli is also made as a throw.
