Description

The Powermaster IP65 fire-rated clip-on bezel is a chrome-finished trim ring designed to convert compatible Powermaster downlights for use in wet or damp locations. The bezel clips onto the outer edge of a compatible downlight housing, adding a sealed front face that brings the fitting up to IP65 water and dust resistance. The chrome finish provides a reflective polished metal accent around the light aperture.

Designed for bathroom, wetroom and outdoor soffit installations, the bezel's IP65 rating makes it suitable for use in bathroom zones 1, 2 and 3 (not zone 0 — the shower tray or bath interior itself). The clip-on attachment means no tools or additional fixings are required once the base downlight is installed, and the bezel can be removed later for lamp replacement or cleaning without disturbing the ceiling cut-out.

The fire-rated construction maintains the integrity of the ceiling void in the event of fire, preventing flame spread through the downlight aperture for a rated period. At 0.01kg the bezel adds negligible weight to the fitting, and the chrome finish coordinates with polished chrome taps, showerheads and other bathroom metalwork. The bezel itself does not contain a lamp or driver — it is a trim accessory for an existing compatible Powermaster downlight.

Can this be used in a shower enclosure?

No. The IP65 rating and zone certification allow use in bathroom zones 1, 2 and 3, but not zone 0 (the interior of the shower tray or bath itself). Position the downlight outside the immediate shower spray area.

Does the bezel include a lamp or driver?

No. The bezel is a trim accessory only. It clips onto an existing Powermaster downlight that already contains the lamp, driver and housing.

How is it fitted?

The bezel clips onto the outer rim of the compatible downlight housing after the downlight is installed in the ceiling. No tools or additional fixings are required, and it can be removed by unclipping if access to the lamp is needed later.
