Description
The PowerMaster 6ft 29W NCF LED emergency batten combines continuous illumination with integrated backup lighting in a single IP65-rated weatherproof housing. The 1800mm (6ft) fitting houses a 29W LED strip delivering 3200lm at 4000K cool white, with a 120° beam angle that provides wide, even coverage across workshop floors, warehouse aisles, car parks, and covered walkways.
Designed for installation in commercial, industrial and institutional buildings, the batten operates on mains power during normal use and switches automatically to emergency mode during power failures. The IP65 rating protects the internal components from dust ingress and water jets from any direction, making the fitting suitable for outdoor covered areas, unheated warehouses, agricultural buildings, and bathroom zones 1-3. Stainless steel mounting clips secure the batten to ceilings or suspended on chains from high-bay mounting points.
The non-corrosive frame (NCF) construction resists rust in damp or coastal environments where standard steel battens deteriorate. Flicker-free operation at 120lm per watt efficiency reduces eye strain during extended use in task-lit areas. The polycarbonate diffuser is impact-resistant and maintains clarity over the fitting's operational life, unlike lower-grade plastics that yellow under UV exposure.

Frequently Asked
How does the emergency function work?
The batten contains an internal battery pack that charges during mains operation. When mains power fails, the fitting automatically switches to battery power and continues to provide illumination. Emergency duration depends on the battery specification — check the product documentation for the exact backup time.
Can this be used outdoors?
The IP65 rating makes the batten suitable for outdoor covered areas where it is protected from direct rain but exposed to wind-driven spray, such as covered loading bays, canopies, and carports. It is not rated for permanent submersion or direct rainfall exposure.
What ceiling height does it suit?
The 120° beam angle and 3200lm output work well at mounting heights between 2.4m and 5m. For higher ceilings in warehouses or industrial units, multiple fittings or higher-wattage battens may be needed to maintain adequate lux levels at floor level.
Is the LED replaceable?
No. The LED strip is integrated into the batten housing and cannot be replaced separately. The entire fitting is replaced at end of life, which for LED fittings is typically 30,000-50,000 hours depending on operating conditions.
