Description

This Knightsbridge wireless doorbell kit pairs an IP55-rated white push button with a plug-in 230V mains receiver offering 58 ringtones and volume control up to 110dB. The bell push runs on a single included 12V 23A battery and transmits at 433MHz across a range of approximately 150-200m depending on building construction and interference. The receiver plugs directly into a standard UK mains socket and includes a visual LED alert that flashes when the doorbell is pressed, providing a notification for hearing-impaired users or noisy environments.

Designed for residential front doors, back doors, gates and outbuildings where running wired doorbell cable is impractical, the kit installs without tools or wiring. The bell push mounts with either screws or the included double-sided adhesive pads, and the receiver simply plugs into a socket within range. The learning code system prevents interference from neighbouring wireless transmitters, and additional receivers or push buttons can be added to the same system if multiple zones or entrances need coverage.

The bell push measures 81mm high by 81.5mm wide with a 26.2mm depth, and carries an IP55 rating that protects against dust ingress and water jets, making it suitable for installation in exposed external locations including porch areas and garden gates. The white finish on the push button includes a grey circular press pad and a door number sleeve for identifying the property. The receiver consumes less than 0.3W on standby, and the push button draws less than 10mW when activated, giving long battery life between replacements.

Frequently Asked

What is the range between the push button and receiver?

The stated range is 150-200m, but actual performance depends heavily on building construction. Solid walls, metal doors and interference from other 433MHz devices reduce the effective range. In typical residential use through brick walls and timber partitions, expect 30-60m of reliable range.

Can multiple receivers be used with one push button?

Yes. Additional plug-in receivers can be paired to the same bell push using the learning code function, allowing the doorbell to chime in multiple rooms or on different floors without running cable between them.

Is the push button weatherproof?

The IP55 rating provides protection against dust and water jets, making the push button suitable for outdoor installation in exposed locations including porches, covered patios and gate posts. It is not submersion-proof and should not be installed where standing water or heavy pooling occurs.

How long does the battery last in the push button?

Battery life depends on how frequently the doorbell is pressed. The push button consumes less than 10mW per activation. In typical residential use (5-10 presses per day), a 12V 23A battery typically lasts 6-12 months before replacement.
