Description

The Play is a small orientable spotlight that clips onto a three-phase track and puts a tight circle of light exactly where you aim it. The head swivels on its base so the beam can follow a picture, a product on a shelf or a run of artwork, and it slides along the rail to sit wherever it is needed. Lit, it reads as a precise pool of warm 3000K light; unlit, the compact black body sits neatly on the track.

This is the 7W head, drawing 520 lumens through a narrow 16 degree beam, with a colour rendering index above 90 so tone stays true on whatever it lights. The body, base and junction are die-cast aluminium finished in black, with a knurled clear acrylic diffuser at the front that sharpens the beam. At 128mm long and 164mm tall it is small enough to run several along a rail, each aimed at a separate target, which makes it a tidy choice for accenting shelving, art or a display run.

The source is a built-in LED rated to 50,000 hours, so there is no bulb to fit or replace. It runs at a fixed output from the three-phase track and carries an IP20 rating for dry indoor rooms. It needs a live three-phase track to seat on, which we can supply alongside with the feeds and connectors.

What kind of light does the Play spotlight give?

One precise beam of warm 3000K light with a colour rendering index above 90, so colours stay true. This head runs a tight 16 degree spread and draws 520 lumens at 7W, placing a small pool exactly on a picture or a product. The orientable body swivels to aim the beam.

Does it use a bulb?

No. The LED is built in and included, rated to 50,000 hours, so there is nothing to source or replace. The head clips onto a three-phase track and lights from the rail once seated.

Can it be dimmed?

No. The 7W head runs at a fixed 3000K output on the track circuit and is not dimmable. For dimming, the 13W Play head takes an optional DALI or push control. We are happy to advise before you order.

What does it need to run and where does it suit?

A live three-phase track rather than a plain ceiling point. At 128mm long and 164mm tall, the tight 16 degree beam suits shops, galleries and studios that want precise accent light on shelving or art. Rated IP20, it is for dry indoor rooms.
