Description

The Peplu is a bed quilt in a blend of cotton and linen, 220cm by 140cm and a centimetre thick. The pattern is screen printed in a block design drawn from Indian textiles, in a soft sage green. The quilting is Kantha, stitched by hand, a technique passed down through generations that gives the quilt its depth and its softness.

It is made for double and king-sized beds. This is the 220 by 140cm size, and the same quilt is made at 220 by 240cm as well, which covers more of the bed. At 1.8kg it is a light layer rather than a heavy one, so it goes over a duvet through the colder months and sits on its own once the duvet comes off.

The quilt is cotton and linen, made in India. The pattern is screen printed using traditional techniques and the Kantha quilting is worked by hand over it, which is what gives the fabric its depth. Peplu is also made in rust, in both sizes.
