Description

A set of four tumblers in recycled glass, each 8cm tall and 8cm across and holding 250ml. The wall curves out from a small flat base to a full belly and draws back in a little to a plain straight rim, so the glass sits into the hand rather than standing straight-sided. The glass is clear and thin, with faint waves running through the wall where it was blown rather than a flat, even surface.

250ml is a water glass rather than a long drink, for serving water at the table. At 8cm tall and 8cm across it is low and round rather than tall, so it takes a shallow shelf and sits low among plates and bowls.

The glass is recycled: collected and crushed, melted down and then blown by hand, so no two tumblers take exactly the same form and the waves in the wall fall differently in each. Four come in the set. The range also runs to a wine glass, a highball and a champagne flute in the same glass.
