Description

We stock the Opus in grey as a sculptural table lamp for soft ambient light. Its metal loop form is finished in a textured grey stone-effect coating that reads as a decorative object when the lamp is off, and a single G9 bulb (not included) sits behind a central frosted glass disc that diffuses the light once it is switched on.

We think it works best on a side table, console or bedside table where you want a gentle glow rather than strong, directional light. The frosted disc softens the output while the loop structure throws secondary light patterns onto nearby surfaces, so it doubles as a quiet decorative piece by day and a warm light source in the evening. It runs on 220 to 240V mains at 50Hz, and its IP20 rating keeps it to dry indoor rooms.

The lamp takes one G9 capsule bulb rated up to 28W, sold separately, so you can choose the brightness and colour to suit the room; a warm-white LED capsule gives soft evening light without glare. It is not dimmable, so any brightness change comes from the bulb you fit rather than a wall dimmer. The finish is a grey stone-effect coating over a metal body, and it draws power through a cable at the rear of the base.

Frequently Asked

What bulb does it take?

It takes one G9 capsule bulb rated up to 28W, which is sold separately. We would fit a warm-white LED capsule for soft evening light that keeps running costs low.

Is it dimmable?

No, the lamp is not dimmable and should not be wired to a wall dimmer. If you want a lower level of light, choose a lower-output G9 bulb instead.

Where can I use it?

It is rated IP20 for dry indoor spaces, so it suits side tables, console tables and bedside tables. We would not use it in a bathroom or anywhere exposed to moisture.

Is a bulb included?

No, the G9 bulb is not included, so you can pick the brightness and colour temperature you prefer. Everything else you need to set the lamp up is in the box.
