Description

The Nut S/10 is a small pendant light with a bell-shaped shade, made from stainless steel and aluminium, and we sell it in textured finishes: Textured White, Textured Black, Textured Terracotta, Textured Pebble Grey, Textured Graphite Brown, Textured Grey Blue, Textured Sand Yellow and Textured Olive Grey. The shade is 11.6cm tall and 10cm across, and it hangs from a canopy 7cm across and 4cm tall, with a drop of 20cm to 200cm. Inside is an integrated LED, so there is no bulb to buy or change. It draws 6.3W and gives 462lm of warm 2700K light downward from the base of the shade, with a CRI of 90, so colours look natural beneath it.

A shade this small works well hung low, alone or in a group. Over a dining table, a row of them brings the light down onto the table. In a living room, one hung beside a sofa or a reading chair gives a pool of light for the evening. The finishes let you match it to the room: Textured White or Textured Pebble Grey for a pale scheme, Textured Black or Textured Graphite Brown for contrast, and Textured Terracotta, Textured Grey Blue, Textured Sand Yellow or Textured Olive Grey for colour. It is rated IP20, so it is for dry rooms only.

The design is by Estudi Manel Molina: a simple, rounded shade in stainless steel and aluminium, with a textured surface whichever colour you choose. It is wired in to the mains at 230V, and a qualified electrician should install it. It is TRIAC dimmable and works with a compatible dimmer, so you can bring the light down for a quiet dinner and back up when you need to see more clearly. If you plan to dim it, check that your dimmer is a compatible one before the pendant goes up. Our photographs show the textured white version.
