Description
The Nova is a small recessed downlight built around a round die-cast aluminium ring, set to sit almost flush in a plasterboard or panelled ceiling. What sets it apart from a fixed downlight is the moving head: the source rotates a full 360 degrees and pulls out and tilts up to 90 degrees from vertical, so the beam can be aimed off to one side rather than only straight down. Finished matt white, the ring reads as a neat pale circle against the plaster, and at 68mm across it is a compact aperture that runs well in a line or picks out a single spot.
The integrated LED is fixed at a warm 3000K and gives a 28 degree beam of about 560 lumens, with colour rendering above 90, so paint, wood and skin hold their tone closely under it. That tighter beam and the tilting head make it a proper accent fitting: angle it onto a picture, a shelf or a worktop and it grazes the surface rather than flooding the room. Left pointing down it works as a warm general downlight for a hallway, kitchen or bedroom, with the white ring keeping the ceiling line quiet.
The LED is built in and rated for around 50,000 hours, so there is no bulb to fit or replace. The fitting recesses into the ceiling and runs from a driver, which we can supply alongside so it arrives ready to wire in. Rated IP20, it is made for dry indoor rooms.

Frequently Asked
What kind of light does the Nova downlight give?
A warm, accurate pool you can aim. The integrated LED runs at 3000K over a 28 degree beam, about 560 lumens, with colour rendering above 90, so colours and skin tones read true. The head tilts up to 90 degrees, so the beam need not point straight down.
Does it use a bulb?
No, the LED is built in and rated for around 50,000 hours. There is nothing to fit or replace. The head recesses into the ceiling and wires to a driver, which we can supply alongside.
Can the head be angled, and is it dimmable?
Yes. The source rotates 360 degrees and pulls out and tilts up to 90 degrees from vertical, so you can aim it at a wall or object. Dimming depends on the driver used; run on a compatible dimmable driver the level can be lowered.
How big is it and where does it suit?
The ring is 68mm across, with a 211mm body depth to allow for the tilt mechanism. Rated IP20, the adjustable head and tight beam suit accent light over art, a shelf or a worktop, or general warm light in a hallway or bedroom, here in matt white.
