Description

The Noren S/72 is a fabric LED pendant light made from one tall, gently curved panel in terracotta. It hangs on two fine wires from a slim black canopy just 4cm deep. The panel is 120cm tall and 72cm wide, with a projection of 17cm, and the drop can be set anywhere from 170cm to 420cm. An integrated LED gives a warm 3000K light with a CRI of 95, so colours look true and there is never a bulb to change. We offer it in two versions: direct light, or direct and indirect light. Depending on the version, it draws 14.4W or 21.4W and gives 427lm or 653lm.

This is a pendant for a room with space around it. Hung over a long dining table, the panel gives a soft, warm glow where people gather. In a living room with good ceiling height it hangs as a tall, quiet screen of colour. The panel pairs the terracotta fabric with sound-absorbing foam, so it softens noise as well as lighting the room. That is welcome where hard floors and a full table make a room ring. It is rated IP20, so it is for dry rooms indoors only.

It is made from aluminium, sound-absorbing foam, a thermoplastic fabric and MDF, with the black canopy and fine suspension wires keeping the look light above the terracotta. The design is by Estudi Manel Molina. It is a Class I fitting running at 277V DC and is wired in to the mains by a qualified electrician. It is DALI dimmable, so it needs a compatible DALI dimmer or control system to bring the light down for quieter evenings. Before you order, check your lighting controls and choose between the direct and the direct and indirect version.
