Description

The Noren S/151 is a long fabric LED pendant light: a shallow oval band of terracotta, 151cm wide and 21cm deep with a panel 35cm tall, hung on two fine wires from a slim black canopy 154cm across. The light is integrated LED, so there is no bulb to buy or change, and it glows a warm 3000K with a CRI of 95, which keeps food, faces and fabrics true to colour. We sell it in two light directions: direct, or direct and indirect. Depending on the version, it draws 20.5W or 27.5W and gives 426 or 975 lumens.

At 151cm wide it is made for a long dining table, spreading light along its whole length rather than pooling it in the middle. Its panel holds sound-absorbing foam, which helps soften the noise of a full table, so conversation stays easy. It suits a living room just as well, over a long sideboard or the dining end of an open-plan space, where the terracotta band brings warm colour even when the light is off. It is rated IP20, so it is for dry rooms indoors only.

The design is by Estudi Manel Molina. The panel is built from aluminium and MDF with sound-absorbing foam, finished in a thermoplastic fabric with a soft, fine-grained texture that sits well against the black canopy. It is DALI dimmable, so it works with a DALI lighting control and can be taken down low for a long dinner, then brought back up for clearing away. It runs on mains power and must be wired in by a qualified electrician. The drop adjusts from 85cm to 335cm, so measure from your ceiling to your table before it goes up, and the band can hang at just the right height, whether the ceiling is ordinary or tall.
