Description

The Noren S/151.2 is a long fabric LED pendant light: a softly curved oval panel in Terracotta, hung on two fine wires from a slim black canopy. The panel is 70cm tall and 151cm wide, under a canopy 154cm long, so it hangs as one generous band of warm colour. The light is integrated LED at 3000K with a CRI of 95, a warm white that shows colours faithfully, and there is no bulb to buy or change. It comes in two versions, Direct or Direct and indirect, the second adding indirect light to the light cast downward. LED power is 20.5W or 27.5W and output 426lm or 975lm, depending on the version.

We see it over a long dining table, where its long shape follows the table, and in a living room where one wide pendant can pull a seating area together. The drop runs from 120cm to 370cm, which suits ordinary ceilings as well as tall, open rooms. The panel holds sound-absorbing foam, so as well as lighting the room it helps soften the echo of conversation and cutlery in a busy, hard-surfaced space. It is DALI dimmable, so it dims from a DALI control system. It is rated IP20, which means dry indoor rooms only.

It is made from aluminium, MDF, sound-absorbing foam and a thermoplastic fabric, with the Terracotta panel set against the black canopy for a clean, graphic line. The design is by Estudi Manel Molina. It runs on mains power and is wired in by a qualified electrician. Before you book them, measure your ceiling height and decide where the bottom of the panel should sit, remembering that the panel itself is 70cm tall.
