Description

The Noren S/151.2 is a fabric LED pendant light: a long, gently curved panel in Light Grey that hangs on fine wires from a slim ceiling rail. The panel is 70cm tall, and the drop runs from 120cm to 370cm, so it can hang low over a table or higher under a tall ceiling. Its light comes from an integrated LED, so there is no bulb to buy or change, and it gives 3000K light with a CRI of 95, so colours look true. We offer it in two light directions, Direct or Direct and indirect: the Direct version lights downward, while the Direct and indirect version adds indirect light alongside it. Depending on the version, it draws 20.5W or 27.5W and gives 498lm or 1141lm.

Its long, wide panel makes it a natural fit over a dining table, where it follows the length of the table, and it suits an open living room that wants a broad, soft light rather than a single bright point. It is made with sound-absorbing foam, so as well as lighting the room it absorbs some of its sound, which is welcome where hard floors, glass and bare walls make voices carry. It dims on a DALI system, so the light can come down for a long supper and up again for reading or working at the table. It is rated IP20, so it is for dry rooms only.

The materials are aluminium, MDF, sound-absorbing foam and a thermoplastic fabric, and the Light Grey fabric has a soft, even texture with a quiet, matt look. The design is by Estudi Manel Molina. It is wired in to the mains by a qualified electrician, and it is worth settling how low you want the panel to hang, anywhere from 120cm to 370cm, before the work is booked. To dim it, the circuit needs DALI control.
