Description

The Noren S/151.2 is a long LED pendant light made from one gently curved panel, faced in dark grey fabric and hung on two fine cables from a slim ceiling canopy. The panel is built from aluminium, MDF and a sound-absorbing foam under a thermoplastic, fire-resistant fabric, so it softens sound in a room as well as lighting it. The light source is integrated LED, so there is no bulb to buy or change, in a warm 3000K white with a CRI of 95 that keeps colours true. It comes in two versions: Direct, which lights downward from the lower edge, and Direct and indirect, which lights upward as well. By version it uses 20.5W or 27.5W and gives 421lm or 965lm. The panel is 70cm tall, the widths are 154cm and 151cm, and the drop runs from 120cm to 370cm.

With a panel this long, it suits a dining room, hung over a long table so the light falls evenly along its length, or a living room where a large piece of lighting can anchor a seating area. Because the foam absorbs sound, it is a good choice for open rooms with hard floors and big windows, where voices carry. The generous drop range lets it sit low over a table under an ordinary ceiling or hang well down from a tall one. It is rated IP20, so it is for dry indoor rooms only.

The design is by Estudi Manel Molina. It is a Class I fitting that runs at 277V DC and must be wired in to the mains by a qualified electrician. It is dimmable on DALI, so it needs a compatible DALI control system. We suggest measuring from ceiling to table before you order and checking it against the 120cm to 370cm drop, remembering that the panel itself is 70cm tall.
