Description

The Noren S/123.2 is a long fabric pendant light: a wide, gently curved panel with a Dark Grey shade, hung on two fine wires from a slim black ceiling canopy. Its light source is integrated LED, so there is no bulb to buy. The light is 3000K warm white with a CRI of 95, so wood, food and skin tones look natural. It uses 15.3W or 22.3W, giving 423 or 731 lumens, depending on the version. It comes in two light directions, Direct or Direct and indirect, so you can choose light aimed down alone or a version that adds indirect light too. The panel is 70cm tall, the widths are 123cm and 126cm, the depths are 6cm and 18cm, and the drop runs from 120cm to 370cm.

Its length suits a dining table, where the panel follows the line of the table and keeps light low over the meal. It sits just as well in a living room or above a long desk in a study. Its materials include sound-absorbing foam, so the panel helps soften the sound in a room with hard floors, big windows and plenty of conversation. With a drop of up to 370cm it suits a tall ceiling as well as a standard one. It dims through DALI, so you will need a compatible DALI control. It is rated IP20, so it is for dry indoor rooms.

It is made from aluminium, MDF, sound-absorbing foam and a thermoplastic fabric, with a black structure and a Dark Grey shade. The fine, soft texture of the shade gives the panel the look of upholstery rather than metal. The design is by Estudi Manel Molina. It runs on the mains and is wired in by an electrician. The long panel looks its best centred over a table or desk of a similar length.
