Description

The Noren S/100 is a fabric disc LED pendant light: a large round panel 100cm in diameter with a Light Grey fabric face and a soft line of light along its lower edge. It hangs on two fine cables, on a drop of 150cm to 400cm. The light source is integrated LED, so there is no bulb to buy or change, and it gives a warm 3000K white with a CRI of 95, which keeps faces, food and fabrics looking true. It comes in two light directions, direct or direct and indirect, and depending on the version it draws 14.4W or 21.4W and gives 296lm or 550lm.

At this size it is a pendant for a generous room. In a dining room it hangs over a long table and gives the meal its own pool of light; in a living room it brings a broad, low glow to a seating area or an open-plan space. Choose the direct version for direct light alone, or the direct and indirect version where you want indirect light as well. Its panel includes sound-absorbing foam, so it does a quiet second job in a room with hard floors and bare walls. It is rated IP20, so it is for dry indoor rooms only.

The Noren S/100 is made from aluminium, MDF, sound-absorbing foam and a thermoplastic fabric, and it is a Class I fitting. The design is by Estudi Manel Molina. It runs on mains power at 277V DC and dims on DALI, so it needs to be connected to a DALI control system to dim. As a mains fitting it is wired in by a qualified electrician, so settle on the drop before the installation day and the disc will sit at the height you want over your table.
