Description
The Nisha is a nest of two round side tables. Each top is a disc of reclaimed wood cut as a shallow tray, with a raised rim and a band of carving worked by hand around the inner edge, so the surface steps down from the rim into a plain centre. The bases are iron in a warm rust tone: a ring at the floor, uprights running straight up from it, and a second ring carrying the top. Nested, the pair stands 53cm tall and 59cm across.
The two nest together or stand apart. Nested they take the footprint of the larger alone; pulled apart, the smaller goes beside a chair while the larger sits at the end of a sofa and takes a lamp. The rim stands proud of the surface, so each top reads as a tray rather than as a flat disc.
The tops are reclaimed ceiling wood, picked for its grain, and the carving is cut rather than pressed. The bases are iron, shaped and finished by hand. Because the wood comes out of old ceilings, the grain and the colour run differently on every top and the carving falls across them differently again. Nisha also runs to a coffee table and a console table.

Frequently Asked
How many tables come in the set?
Two, made to nest one inside the other.
How big are they?
Nested, 53cm tall and 59cm across.
What are they made from?
Reclaimed wood tops on iron bases.
Can they be used apart?
Yes. They are made to nest together or to stand apart.
Will the two tables match?
Not exactly. The wood is reclaimed and the carving is cut by hand, so the grain and the pattern differ from table to table.
How do I look after them?
The wood is treated with a sealant, but it still wants daily care. Wipe the surfaces with a soft dry cloth to lift dust and moisture, and use mild soap and water sparingly, always working in the direction of the grain. Keep harsh chemicals and abrasive materials away, use coasters and mats, mop up spills straight away, and keep the tables out of strong direct sunlight.
