Description

A set of four baubles in hand blown recycled glass, 8cm across, in two shapes: two rounded and two teardrop. The glass is frosted rather than clear, a pale grey-white over the upper half dropping into a band of speckled gold, bronze and dark grey across the lower half. The line where the two meet is ragged and sits at a different height on every bauble. Each carries a small embossed metal cap, a plain ring, and a taupe cotton velvet tie knotted at the top.

Frosted glass does not throw light back the way a mirrored bauble does, so these read as weight and colour on a branch rather than as points of light. All four hang along a bare branch. At 8cm they will fill a bowl as a table dressing as readily as they hang.

The glass is recycled and hand blown, which is why the four shapes are not identical and the speckled band falls differently on each. The ties are cotton velvet. Ngolo runs widely in the same aged smoke: a giant bauble in two sizes, tealight holders in three, a vase and a wine cooler.
