Description

The Nans Sphere PF/80 is a woven outdoor ceiling light built around one generous globe: a shade 80cm across and 76cm tall, woven in synthetic fibre in Red (with Orange and Beige). It sits beneath a Graphite Brown stem 25cm long, fixed to a round canopy 12cm across, so the whole light is 101cm tall. Inside sits an integrated LED, so there is no bulb to buy or change. It draws 24W and gives 722lm of warm 2700K light with a CRI of 90, so colours and faces look natural beneath it, while the open weave lets the glow spill softly through the shade.

It is rated IP54 and made for outdoor use, so it suits a terrace, a porch, a pergola or a covered loggia, anywhere you want one large, warm light above a dining table or a seating area. At 80cm across it needs space around it: a high porch ceiling or a generous terrace shows it off far better than a narrow passage. Over an outdoor table, the woven shade gives a long summer supper a soft, lantern-like glow. It is dimmable (TRIAC), so on a compatible dimmer you can bring it down gently as the evening draws in.

It is made from stainless steel, aluminium and synthetic fibre, with the stem and canopy in Graphite Brown, a dark, quiet tone that leaves the woven shade to do the talking. Inside the sphere, vertical ribs hold the weave in its round shape. It runs on 230V mains, is a Class I fitting and must be wired in to the mains by a qualified electrician.
