Description

The Nans S/55 is a woven LED pendant light with a wide, shallow cone of a shade, 55cm across and 12cm deep. The shade is woven from synthetic fibre in Brown (with Beige and Light Grey), so the open weave reads as a warm mix of tones rather than one flat colour. The structure is aluminium in Graphite Brown, the round canopy is 12cm across and the pendant is 200cm tall overall. A rounded white diffuser sits beneath the centre, and the light is an integrated LED, so there is no bulb to buy. It draws 8W and gives 437 lumens of warm 2700K light with a CRI of 90, which keeps food, wood and fabric looking true to colour.

Rated IP54, it suits outdoor use as well as rooms indoors. We like it over a dining table on a covered terrace, under a pergola or in a porch, where a woven shade feels at home. Indoors it is just as happy low over a dining table or above a coffee table in a living room, and the 55cm shade has presence without looking heavy. It is TRIAC dimmable, so on a compatible dimmer you can bring it down for a slow evening meal and turn it up again when the table is being laid.

The pendant runs on 230V and is wired in to the mains by a qualified electrician, whether it hangs indoors or out. It is a Class I fitting. The construction is simple and practical: an aluminium structure in Graphite Brown and a shade of woven synthetic fibre, with an integrated LED, so there is no bulb to source or change. Pair it with a compatible dimmer and the one fitting covers lively dinners and quiet evenings alike.
