Description

The Nans S/31.2 is a woven LED pendant light with a tall, rounded cylinder shade in Red (with Orange and Beige), hung from a Graphite Brown structure. The shade is woven from synthetic fibre in an open lattice, so light passes through the weave, and the fitting is made of stainless steel, aluminium and synthetic fibre. The shade is 45.7cm tall and 31.5cm across. Inside is an integrated LED of 9.5W giving 391 lumens of warm 2700K light with a CRI of 90, so colours look natural and there is no bulb to buy.

Rated IP54 and made for outdoor use, this pendant is as at home outside as it is indoors. We like it hung over a table on a covered terrace, by a porch or above a garden dining spot, where the red weave gives an evening meal a warm, welcoming light. Inside, it suits a dining room or a living room just as well. The drop runs from 62cm to 200cm, so it can hang low over a table or sit higher in a room with a tall ceiling, and at 31.5cm across the shade is generous enough to suit a round table on its own, or to hang as one of a pair along a longer one.

The structure is finished in Graphite Brown, a dark frame that lets the red shade lead. The fitting runs on the 230V mains and is wired in by a qualified electrician; it is a Class I fitting, which means it is earthed. It is TRIAC dimmable, so with a compatible dimmer you can bring the light right down for a late supper or keep it bright while the table is laid. With the LED built in, there is no bulb to fit, which keeps things simple for a pendant that hangs outside.
