Description

The Nans S/21 is a woven outdoor pendant light: a rounded cylindrical shade of synthetic fibre in Red (with Orange and Beige), hung from a Graphite Brown structure. The fibres are woven into an open lattice, so the light inside glows through the pattern rather than shining straight out. The shade is 24.7cm tall and 21.6cm across, and the pendant has a drop of 40cm to 200cm. Inside is a 9.5W integrated LED giving 386 lumens of warm 2700K light with a CRI of 90, so there is no bulb to buy or change, and food, skin and planting look natural under it.

It is rated IP54, so it is made for outdoor use: hang it under a pergola or porch roof, along a terrace, or over a garden dining table for long evenings outside. It sits just as happily indoors, over a dining table or in a living room, and because the drop runs from 40cm to 200cm, several can hang at different heights over a bar or a long table for a relaxed, sociable feel. It is dimmable with a compatible TRIAC dimmer, so you can bring it down to a low, warm glow once the meal is over.

It is made of stainless steel, aluminium and synthetic fibre, with the fibre woven into the shade and the structure finished in Graphite Brown, a dark, quiet tone that lets the coloured weave take the eye. It runs at 230V and is a Class I fitting, powered from the mains and wired in by an electrician; like any mains fitting, it is for a qualified electrician to install.
