Description

The Nans S/16 is a small outdoor pendant light with a woven shade in Red (with Orange and Beige), hung from a Graphite Brown structure. The shade is a neat cylinder 16.5cm tall and 16.7cm across, and its open weave lets the light through in a soft, patterned glow. Inside sits an integrated LED, so there is no bulb to buy or change. It draws 8W and gives 285 lumens of warm 2700K light with a CRI of 90, which keeps food, faces and planting looking true to colour. The canopy is 12cm across and 4cm tall, and the fitting has an overall height of 200cm.

Rated IP54, this pendant is made for outdoor use as well as indoors. We like it hung over a small table on a covered terrace, beneath a pergola or in a porch, where its compact size suits a single seating spot. Indoors it works just as well over a dining table, on its own or in a row, or in a corner of the living room where you want a low pool of warm light rather than a bright one. It is TRIAC dimmable, so with a compatible dimmer you can bring it right down for a slow evening meal, inside or out.

The fitting is made from stainless steel, aluminium and synthetic fibre, and the shade sets its red against orange and beige for a warm, layered colour beneath the Graphite Brown structure. It runs on 230V mains power and is wired in to the mains, so it needs a qualified electrician to install it. Nothing else is needed to get it working, because the light source is built in. Once it is up, the woven Nans shade gives a terrace or a dining room the same gentle, dappled light at either end of the evening.
