Description

The Nans PF/31.2 is a woven outdoor ceiling light: a tall, capsule-shaped shade of synthetic fibre hung close beneath a round Graphite Brown structure. The shade is Red (with Orange and Beige), woven in an open lattice that lets the light glow softly through. It stands 52.7cm tall in all, with a shade 45.7cm tall and 31.6cm across. Inside sits an integrated LED, so there is no bulb to buy or change. It draws 9.5W and gives 391 lumens of warm 2700K light with a CRI of 90, so colours and faces look natural beneath it.

Rated IP54, it is made for outdoor use, and that is where it belongs: a covered porch, a terrace, a veranda or a loggia. Its size suits a spot where one generous light does the work, over a front door, an outdoor dining table or a sheltered seating corner. It is TRIAC-dimmable and works with a compatible dimmer, so you can keep it bright for supper outside and turn it down low as the evening settles. The warm red of the weave sits happily against stone, brick and planting by day, and after dark the lattice glows like a lantern overhead.

The structure is Graphite Brown, a dark, quiet finish that lets the shade take the eye. The fitting is made from stainless steel, aluminium and synthetic fibre, with the fibre woven into the shade. It runs on the 230V mains and is a Class I fitting, wired in by a qualified electrician. Because the LED is integrated, there is no bulb to reach up and replace, which matters on a high porch ceiling. Once it is in, it is simply ready at the switch each evening.
