Description

The Mystiva is a 114 x 31cm rectangle wall mirror with a black plastic frame and a 2cm depth profile. The narrow width of 31cm makes it suited to hallways, beside wardrobes, and bedroom walls where a traditional 40-50cm wide mirror would overwhelm the available space.

Designed for vertical mounting, the mirror sits 114cm tall and reflects from floor height upward, giving a near-full-length view when wall-mounted at 20-30cm above the floor. The reflective surface covers most of the 114cm height, with the black plastic frame forming a clean border around the glass. At 8kg, the mirror requires two wall fixings into studs or appropriate cavity fixings into plasterboard.

The matt black plastic frame absorbs light rather than reflecting it, keeping the visual focus on the mirror surface rather than the border. This makes the Mystiva pair well with monochrome, industrial and minimal interiors where excess decoration is avoided. The 2cm projection from the wall is shallow enough that the mirror does not intrude into narrow hallways where circulation space is tight.

Can the Mystiva be mounted horizontally?

The mirror can physically be mounted horizontally, but the 114cm width would then require significant wall space and the 31cm height would give a restricted vertical reflection. It is designed primarily for vertical mounting.

What fixings are needed?

At 8kg weight, the mirror requires two wall fixings capable of supporting at least 10kg combined load. For stud walls, use wood screws into the studs. For plasterboard or masonry, use appropriate heavy-duty cavity fixings or wall plugs rated for the weight.

Is the frame wood or plastic?

The frame is plastic with a matt black finish. This keeps the weight lower than a comparable solid wood frame and the cost more accessible while maintaining the clean monochrome appearance.

What height should it be mounted at?

For a near-full-length reflection, mount the bottom edge 20-30cm above the floor. This allows the 114cm height to capture from head to near-floor when standing approximately 1m back from the wall.
