Description

The Murané is a pendant light with a single transparent glass sphere, 18cm across, hanging from a slim cable below a small cap in a Brushed Champagne finish. The glass has a rippled, uneven surface that catches the light and scatters it in soft patterns across the sphere. Inside sits an integrated LED, so there is no bulb to buy or change. It gives a warm 2700K light with a CRI of 90, which keeps food, fabrics and skin tones looking true to life.

It suits a dining room, hung over the table, or a living room, where one sphere can light a reading chair or a side table. With a maximum drop of 300cm, there is room to set it at the height that suits your ceiling and your furniture. It is rated IP20, so it is for dry rooms only. You can have it with its own canopy, 5.5cm across and 13cm tall, to hang it on its own. You can also have it without a canopy, for fitting to multi-pendant canopies, which are sold separately, when you want to gather several spheres together.

The pendant runs on 230V mains and is wired in by a qualified electrician. The 24V DC version needs a remote 24V DC driver, which is not included and is sold separately. The driver converts the mains supply into the 24V DC that version runs on, and without it that version will not light. The glass is clear, so the light passes straight through and the rippled surface softens it, while the Brushed Champagne cap gives a soft, warm tone against the glass. Before you order, measure from the ceiling to where you want the sphere to sit, and settle on its own canopy or a multi-pendant canopy, so your electrician has everything to hand on the day.
