The Murané is a small glass sphere pendant light, 10cm across, in Caramel glass with a rippled surface that catches and bends the light as it passes through. It hangs from a fine cable that meets the sphere at a neat collar in a Brushed Champagne finish, with a drop of up to 300cm, so you can set it at whatever height suits the room. The light source is an integrated LED, so there is no bulb to buy or change. It gives 167lm of warm 2700K light with a CRI of 90, so food, fabrics and skin tones look true under it, and it draws 2.7W or 4W according to version.

We think it is at its best over a dining table or in a living room, hung alone as a small point of warm colour or grouped with others at staggered heights for a fuller cluster of light. It comes in two choices. With canopy, the pendant has its own canopy, 5.5cm across and 13cm tall. Without canopy, for multi-pendant canopies (sold separately), it is made to hang alongside other pendants from one shared canopy. It is rated IP20, so it is for dry rooms only, and suits the main living spaces of the home.

The glass sphere in Caramel has a rippled surface that gives a soft, shifting glow when the light is on, and the Brushed Champagne collar sits warmly against it. It runs on mains power and is wired in to the mains by a qualified electrician. The 24V DC version needs a remote 24V DC driver, sold separately, which turns mains power into the low voltage the pendant runs on; without one, that version will not light. Before ordering, decide how low you want the sphere to hang over your table, since the drop goes up to 300cm.
