Description

The Montrose is a 5x7 cast aluminium photo frame built from individual square segments joined to form an irregular geometric border around the aperture. The frame is finished in antique gold, a warm metallic tone darker than polished brass, achieved through oxidising the aluminium surface to give depth and tonal variation across the textured segments.

Designed for portrait orientation only, the frame sits on a hinged metal stand at the back for desk or shelf display, or can be wall-mounted using the integrated hanging bracket. The 5x7 aperture (approximately 13cm x 18cm) suits standard UK and international photo prints. The frame measures 19.5cm wide by 24.5cm tall with a 2.5cm projection from the wall or surface when stood.

Each square segment in the border carries a hammered or pitted texture, giving the frame a handcrafted rather than machine-finished appearance. The 1kg weight provides stability on a desk or shelf without needing additional anchoring. Assembly requires a Phillips screwdriver to attach the stand to the back plate.
