Description

We stock the Misterio Ring as a faceted sphere pendant for over a table or island. A geometric sphere hangs inside a matt black metal ring that wraps its equator, and behind the translucent panels sits an integrated 6W LED giving 650 lumens of warm white light at 2700K. The angular facets diffuse the light through the panels and cast soft geometric shadows on the surfaces nearby, so the shade holds visual interest whether it is lit or switched off.

We think it works best as a central drop over a kitchen island, a dining table or a hallway. The compact 150mm sphere keeps it in proportion in smaller rooms, and the 120 degree beam angle spreads the light broadly downward rather than as a narrow spotlight, which suits ambient and gentle task lighting where a ceiling rose is in place. The matt black frame coordinates neatly with black cabinetry, ironwork and door furniture, and it settles happily into contemporary, industrial and mid-century schemes.

The pendant is dimmable, so on a compatible trailing-edge LED dimmer (sold separately) you can take it from full brightness down to a soft glow for dining. It runs at 220-240V AC 50Hz mains and carries a colour rendering index of 80, which gives natural enough colour for everyday rooms. The LED is integrated, so there is no separate bulb to buy or replace. It is rated IP20 for dry indoor use only, which means it is not suitable for anywhere exposed to moisture.
