Description
The Knightsbridge OS0014B is a compact wall or ceiling-mounted PIR motion sensor with a 180° detection field, 12m range at 2.4m installation height, and adjustable time and lux settings. The sensor head tilts and rotates for optimum positioning once mounted, allowing the detection zone to be directed at doorways, pathways or specific areas within the 180° sweep.
Designed for controlling lighting circuits in hallways, external porches, utility rooms, garages and storage areas, the sensor switches connected loads on when motion is detected and off after a user-set delay (10 seconds to 15 minutes adjustable). The adjustable lux control prevents the sensor activating in daylight, conserving energy by ensuring lights only trigger when ambient light falls below a chosen threshold. The IP44 rating protects against solid objects above 1mm and water splashes, making the unit suitable for covered outdoor locations such as porches, carports and external walkways under eaves.
The sensor handles switching loads up to 2000W incandescent or 1000W LED, sufficient for most residential lighting circuits. Multiple sensors can be wired in parallel to extend motion-controlled lighting across longer runs or larger areas. The polycarbonate housing measures 70mm high, 55.4mm wide and projects 77mm from the mounting surface once installed, fitting discreetly onto walls or ceilings without dominating the visual field.

Frequently Asked
What's the detection range?
The sensor detects motion up to 12m away when mounted at 2.4m height. The adjustable head allows the detection zone to be angled towards specific areas, which can effectively reduce the range if needed for smaller spaces.
Can it be used outdoors?
Yes. The IP44 rating protects against water splashes and solid objects above 1mm, making it suitable for covered outdoor locations such as porches, carports and walkways under eaves. It is not rated for fully exposed outdoor positions subject to direct rain or hose-down cleaning.
How is the time delay adjusted?
The time delay is adjustable from 10 seconds to 15 minutes using a control on the sensor body. This sets how long the connected lighting remains on after the last motion is detected. Shorter times suit high-traffic areas; longer times suit infrequently-used spaces.
Can multiple sensors be wired together?
Yes. Multiple OS0014B sensors can be wired in parallel to control the same lighting circuit, extending motion detection across longer hallways, L-shaped corridors or larger rooms where a single 180° sensor would leave blind spots.
