Mingus Wooden Wall Shelf - Blue

The Mingus is a blue wall shelf and hanging rail in one, made entirely from paulownia wood. A shallow ledge runs between two curved end pieces, and a round wooden rail passes through both ends just beneath it, standing a little proud on either side. It is 60cm long, 12cm wide and 14cm tall, and weighs 0.55KG. That 12cm depth is enough for picture books to stand upright or for a few small treasures to sit in a row, without the shelf reaching far into the room.

We see it first in a child's bedroom, nursery or playroom, where it does two jobs on one stretch of wall: favourite books along the ledge and a small jumper on a hanger from the rail. The ends of the rail, standing beyond the curved sides, will take the handles of a little bag too. Because it stays shallow, it suits a narrow wall where a full bookcase would crowd the floor, and it keeps everyday books and clothes together in one tidy line.
