Description
This is a set of four small stoneware cups, each one handpainted with a scatter of croissants around its rounded body. The set is multicoloured, with every cup finished in its own shade, so the four look cheerful side by side rather than identical. Each cup holds 110ml and stands 7cm tall and 6cm across, which makes it a little cup rather than a mug: right for an espresso, a babyccino or a child's small drink of milk. A chunky loop handle sits on the side, sized for a small hand to grip.
These cups are made as children's tableware, and the small capacity suits the way children drink: a modest pour, finished before it goes cold. Put them on the breakfast table for warm milk or juice, or bring all four out for a teddy bears' picnic on the kitchen floor. Grown-ups get good use from them too, as the 110ml size is just right for an espresso or a short cortado, and the croissant pattern belongs naturally at a weekend breakfast or a relaxed brunch with friends. With four cups, there is a cup for each person in a small family, or a spare when one is waiting in the dishwasher.
Stoneware is a dense clay that holds heat well, so it is a good material for a warm drink. The croissants are handpainted, and the glaze stops short of the foot, leaving a band of bare stoneware at the base. Care is simple: the cups go in the dishwasher, and they can also go in the microwave and the oven, so warming a splash of milk takes no extra jug. For styling, keep all four on an open shelf near the kettle, mixed in any order, because their different shades look best together. The styling props shown are not included.

Frequently Asked
How much does each cup hold?
Each cup holds 110ml, which makes it a small cup for an espresso, a babyccino or a child's drink of milk or juice rather than a full mug.
Can the cups go in the dishwasher and the microwave?
Yes. The cups go in the dishwasher and the microwave, and they can also go in the oven, so cleaning and warming are both simple.
What material are the cups?
They are 100% stoneware, a dense clay that holds heat well, and each cup is handpainted with croissant motifs around the body.
How big are the cups?
Each cup is 6cm across and 7cm tall, a compact rounded shape with a chunky loop handle on the side.
How many cups do I receive?
You receive four cups, each finished in a different shade, so the set is multicoloured, with the same handpainted croissant pattern on every cup.
